How do you turn off Bravia Sync on Sony products?
I have a Sony Bravia LCD TV and Sony Mu.te.ki home theatre system, linked with a HDMI cable. I have my PC connected to the TV via the monitor cable and I want to run the sound from my PC through the home theatre by attaching with a coaxial cable. However the only coaxial input on the home theatre is assigned to DVD and when I turn the receiver for the home theatre to DVD the TV also automatically turns itself to the HDMI channel it has assigned for a DVD payer. I cannot get the TV to stay on the PC channel when I switch the home theatre to DVD because of the Bravia Sync. How do I turn off this sync? I read the manual for both devises about 100 times and can’t find the solution. Help!
You have to turn off the "control to HDMI" feature on both units. The link I've attached has directions for how to make it work, but the reverse will also turn it off, or so I've gathered.
