Are these good specs for a gaming PC?

Nope the memory speed is too high. This board takes:

This is equivalent to US $952.978
I note one thing, Australia seems to have higher parts prices than just about anywhere so all I can figure is that Australia must have some rather high import tarrifs. This means that what looks reasonable to you in Australia may be expensive to us elsewhere.
I think, from a US standpoint, this sounds a little bit expensive for a mid-range cost computer. Here in the US, you could probably drop this cost by $150 - $200. Sorry to say that, but - well, that's the breaks I guess.
Try to get the kind of RAM the mobo calls for specifically.
