Can I use a tungsten e2 usb sync cord with my treo 680?...?
I have a USB plug that I used with my tungsten E2 that would charge the PDA when plugged in but not syncing.
The sync cable that came with the treo 680 looks different (has an additional prong that goes into the power plug area of the pda) and it doesn't charge the PDA battery.
I'd like to use the tungsten USB cable to sync/charge the treo 680, but don't want to damage it.

If the plugs are physically compatible and the cables are wired alike (check with an AVOmeter) then it should work for USB data transfer. It may not work for charging, if the appliance is not designed to charge from the USB port (would require the addition of a resistor and a diode inside the PDA).
